Thie past Memorial Day I found the tombstone of Arent H. Medendorp, d. 1888, at Oakwood Cemetery in Muskegon. Cemetery records also say a Johannes Medendorp is buried in the same plot. I cannot find a Muksegon or Ottawa death certificate for Arent or Johannes. Arent's stone is similar in style to the stones for a Luikens family which are all around his grave. I think Gooitske (or similar) Luikens is the daughter of Arent Medendorp but I cannot find Gooitske's death certificate. Dena Luikens death certificate lists her mother as Gladys Medendorp but I cannot find a death certificate for Gladys Medendorp, either. The Luikens graves were all well-tended but Arent's grave was not. I would like to contact any Luikens to see if they know anything about Arent Medendorp.

Seeking ANY information on my biological family (mother's side). I have just found a cemetary record for my great-grandfather, Otto Martin "DANOVICH". he died in March, 1929 in Muskegon Heights, and was buried in St. Mary's Cemetary. St. Mary's Cemetary has no record of him - and I have yet to locate the death record from the State of Michigan. I am told by a friend of my mothers that Otto Martin arrived with his son (my grandfather, Frank Donovich) around 1910-1915. I have searched too many avenues to list in this message - to no avail. There are several variations of the name, including: Danowich, Ducjmanovch. However, my name, at birth, was DONOVICH. If you have any suggestions or can offer any assistance, please contact me. Thank you, in advance, for your kindess..
